There is no question that the first source of Islamic knowledge is Al Quran. But it is very unfortunate that Quran is most of the time at the bottom of our priority while seeking knowledge. Allah (SWT) says, "Do they not then think deeply in the Qur'ân, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)?" (47:24)

Objective: QARI (Quran Appreciation and Reflection Initiative) is our modest approach that will encourage interested individual to read, and reflect on the Quran on a regular and consistent basis. "Recite (O Muhammad SAW) what has been revealed to you of the Book (the Qur'ân), and perform As-Salât (IqamâtasSalât)" (verse 45).

Approach: In this effort, every locality is encouraged to organise a group of people who seek the knowledge of Quran, the only book ever with complete code of life for everyone in every nation until the end of time. This group will then organize one complete recital of the Quran with meaning every year or so. In each cycle, it will have a short list of issues and concerns to reflect upon while reading the Quran. All verses related to an issue will be compiled. In the next cycle, it will be recompiled by another group. Everyone is encouraged to share his/her work with other memebers in QARI locally and elsewhere.

"Verily, this Qur'ân guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger, Muhammad SAW, etc.). who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise)."(17:9)
